Signed Lester Hughes Mountain Scene Painting.  Lester Hughes quit his job as a business supply salesman in 1969 and became a self taught artist.  During a 1976 campaign stop in El Paso, Texas, president elect, Ronald Reagan was given one of Lester Hughes' works.  He enjoyed the artist's work so much he purchased at least a dozen that hung in the presidential mansion during Ronald Reagan's tenure in the White House. He continues to have a large following of his work today from actress Betty White to past presidents Gerald Ford and George Bush. Dimensions: Sight area: 23.5" x 17.5"  Frame Size 31" x 43.5" x 25" x 2.5" Condition:  Pre-owned, wear noted to canvas and frame with age
